This corner at the top of the Cordoba mountains is a true delight for the senses ...
Both the flora and fauna represent one of the great wealth of La Cumbrecita, and it is because of them that it has been declared an Environmental Protection Zone.
There is a great diversity of species, among which stand out conifers, cedars, pines, firs, cypresses, there are also various types of oak, birch, ash, plane, walnut, willow and chestnut. There are beautiful and colorful shrubs and plants such as broom, verbenas, cosmos, rosehip and a wide variety of ferns, mosses and lichens.
It is very common to find fruits such as blackberry, hazelnut, raspberry, cherry, walnut, among others.
 With regard to the animal species that we have, the great variety of birds that sweeten the environment with their songs stand out. Some of the species that we can observe are the black eagle, condors, thrushes, benteveos, pigeons, owls, owls, horneros, woodpeckers, black heads, thrushes, red breasts, sperm whales, hummingbirds, parrots, swallows and magpies among many more.
Among the vegetation we observe gray-tailed foxes, cuises, skunks, ferrets, and some squirrels running through the upper branches of the pines and tall trees.
